I knew my love of wine was getting out of hand when I opened the fridge one morning to reach for the milk and my hand automatically landed on a chilled bottle of Sauvingon Blanc.

I wasn’t shocked that my automatic reflex was to embrace the bottle; it was that there was opened wine left in the fridge.

After having a little medical tweak – I am on medication for a couple of weeks so it’s time to feel guilty recap my alcohol intake. Yawn.

I am having to adjust my style.  Annoyingly, wine goes with everything I own.

The challenge will be, when alcohol is back on the approved list, which refreshment and how often?

Here is the plan

White Wine is in fact grape flavoured water and is to be a treat on special occasions called Friday.

Red Wine is for deep conversations over pasta or roast dinners and is reserved for cold nights at home.

Gin and Tonic is medicinal and is allowed after 6.00pm on hot evenings.

Vodka is from a potato. Potatoes have no fat, sodium or cholesterol and have more potassium than a banana*. Therefore Vodka daily!
